ROC-U and ROC-NY Release BURNED, an NIH-Funded Study on Restaurant Worker Health and Safety

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, the Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York and the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United released BURNED: High Risks and Low Benefits for New York City Restaurant Workers, an important new study on helath and safety of New York City restaurant workers. The study found that workers with little access to benfits are forced to engage in practices that affect the consumer's health and safety.
